Reasons to travel #BFFWedding

Vishakapatnam - beautifully clean city with hills and beaches.

Airport is just 1KM from the main N.A.D. junction where you can head to any direction and location like Araku Valley, Beach, Hydearabd, Bhuvaneswar, Kolkata...

FYI - All cab pick ups are available near Coffee House outside airport.

Since our main agenda was to attend wedding, but being in a new city we had to sneak out at a point ;) and Kailasagiri Hill top was our destination considering the time constraint.

I was impressed with the transport and people trying to help you with directions. You get share autos to almost anywhere. There are neat classy metro city buses as an option.
Share autos - 5/- to 20/- depending on the distance.

You can get buses or share autos to Maddelapalem, from this junction you will have to again change auto or bus towards Kailasagiri. Its beside the beach so I believe perfect destination for a short hop over in the city.
There is a mall right at Maddelapalem junction with Inox in case you wish to enjoy a movie for movie lovers like me.

Fun part was the Rope way we had to take to reach Hill Top
Entry - 10/-
Ropeway to and fro - 80/- per ticket

The view was definitely worth going - you can see whole city and breathtaking foggy beach view which reminded my friend of Pirates Of Caribbean with so many boats near the shore.

City and Beach View from Kailasagiri Hill Top

There is nothing much to see on top except the 360 view. Do not even think of taking a train which takes you around as the ticket cost of 100/- is not at all worth. I would recommend to just walk around or on the track.

We sat down peacefully by the road after coming down, treating our eyes and soul to the amazing beach view and breeze.

The city - roads, pathways, beaches are amazingly clean - Hatsoff to the people of Vizag

Since our stomachs were full with wedding food, I do not have anything on the local food but from the wedding menu - local sweets like Obattu (Mini Paratha with sweet filling of daal and Mawa),

Boori - fried one with amazing sweet filling inside -

And of course if you are not from andhra - do try Andhra meals - pappu, rice, rasam - best meal in South India.

For sea food lovers - east Andhra is paradise.
